Sad that someone's child would have that kind of experience, and from now on will think negatively of Montessori schools. <br/><br/>The answer from an "expert" just goes to show how often experts don't really know much about a given topic; they just spout whatever they think the other person wants to hear. <br/><br/>But, I think we can make a difference. The woman I referred to in my post (who thought negatively of Montessori) ended up contacting me and thanking me for my post. I think she's revised her opinion of Montessori a little bit. <br/><br/>So all we can do is respond positively and see these kinds of things as "teachable moments"! Really, it just makes me sad.
