		<description>A child that age should be completing a self-assessment every week, tailor-made to his/her specific issues (How did I do when it comes to respecting my teachers, following directions, etc. on a scale of 1 (not good) to 5 (good).) Have the child brainstorm with you to pick several areas to work on each week. 

They should also be losing privileges (natural consequences) at home and in the classroom for misbehavior. Again, have them brainstorm with you to decided what the misbehavior is and what the consequences will be. 

The more they participate in their own consequences the more they&#039;ll be aware of their behavior and the more successful they will be in altering it.</description>

		<description>I could use help in redirecting a 7th grader who has over the past 2 years developed some very unacceptable behaviors, including disrupting the music group with whining, fussing about things being too hard,  distracting other students and replying to the teacher (me) in very non-polite ways.
