I have seen kids as I was growing up basically become whatever they were told that they were. I did it myself. I was told when I was young that I was good at school... low and behold... I did really well in high school.<br/><br/>My parents and my wife's parents both had high expectations for us and so we did well in school, but I know that kids somehow seem to conform to whatever they are told that they are. It is really strange but worth noting.<br/><br/>As a public school teacher... I know that so many of my kids are told that they are this or that and so they act that way.
