New Materials, Freebie, and Updates for December
There’s a lot going on around here! In case you missed our email newsletter or our Facebook page updates, here’s the news for December:
New Materials
We have some great new items, including (my favorite), Holidays Around the World. This gorgeous work has 24 (24!) holidays from all over the world. I loved researching this because I learned a lot myself!

Two other new items are Plant Life Cycle Sorting and States of Matter Sorting. The pictures are beautiful and there’s a lot of great information in each set:

Freebie!
Our freebie for this month is a set of two cute story cards that kids can use as “story starters” to get them off and running when doing creative writing. Here’s the December free download!
Updates
We have two updates this month: Parts of a Car – UK and Parts of a Root.
For Parts of a Car – UK, we kept the same drawings, definitions, etc. as our original “Car” set but substituted “bonnet” for “hood” and “boot” for “trunk”. For Parts of a Root, we have an updated, much nicer drawing.
If you’ve ever bought those items from us (as a PDF that was emailed to you, or on a CD-ROM Collection), just email us at montessoriforeveryone@gmail.com to ask for either/both of the updates.
From this point on, anyone who buys “Parts of a Car” can tell us if they’d like the UK version, and anyone who buys the “Root” will get the updated version.
Just a note about Facebook: Facebook only shows our updates (the links, quotes, and comments we share) to people who interact with us on Facebook. So if you like our status updates, be sure to click “Like” or leave a comment so that Facebook keeps showing them to you!
Also, we’d like to thank these kind bloggers who’ve linked to and promoted our free downloads pages! Thanks so much!

Happy Holidays!

I would really to know why you offer the Continent Kit of Australasia with an alternate name of Australia. Australia is just one country in the Continent and the rest of us down under live in different countries. Australisia and Oceania is more acceptable as Oceania is inclusive of more island countries – although I am not sure if you show these on your maps. But please don’t label us all Australia, it is just plain wrong.
Thank you – I do love all the materials you offer and I am sure you would want them to be factually correct.
Hi, Diane! Good question. We offer that as an option especially for the World Map sets because the actual name of the continent is Australia, even if that region of the world is also called by other names. That’s a fact
Children do need to know the name of the actual continent.
All three options include all three arrows for the maps. All three versions of the “About” guides include information all three names, with information about the entire region. I think if you saw our actual materials and how we handle the options, you’d realize that it does work out so that the children are given correct information.
Also, quite a few of our customers are from Australia and New Zealand, and I am surprised that frequently, they purchase the kit with the name “Australia”. So not everyone who lives there calls it the same thing.
Thanks for stopping by!
